This is a self-portrait of me and all my emotions—the pain of life not turning out as I had hoped, the loneliness of being misunderstood, and the raw wounds of painful memories crashing over me like a wave of tears. Life hurts sometimes. People hurt.
My response is love, calm, and painting my way through it all. I chose to depict myself with a bare, bald head—completely naked, exposing my whole soul and all my frustration, which is also the title of this piece." - MONKII
