"This is one of my favorite paintings. The original title was "Chained Meditations" and my first plan was to paint silver chains on the legs and neck of this character. But suddenly it was perfect just the way it is. In its beautiful simplicity. The huge, oversized head is there to visualise how we worry and think too much. This is actually a self portrait. To me, this is a portrait of freedom, strength and bravery. I believe in positivity and spreading happiness. The power of being kind and a loving soul. And that everything works out for the best, if you just believe in yourself." - MONKII
